For a moment I thought these wouldn't work with my boots but I had the strap too tight. Once I loosened it they were fine. Not tried them in rain yet but they look like they will do the job.

A little bit close. At the bottom of the girth just over the boots.
I’m not an expert on this but they looks pretty well made, the belt is long and worries me (like walk with untied laces)
